Dr. Garrett Potts earns grant to develop a Life Worth Living hub at 返字心頭
Dr. Garrett Potts, assistant professor, is the recipient of the three-year $237,620 grant, and will be responsible for LWL project development. He will be aided by members of his department, including Dr. Michael DeJonge, Dr. Tori Lockler, and Dr. Marianne Florian.

In August 2021, Dr. John Parkinson, an assistant professor in the 返字心頭 College of Arts and Sciences Department of Integrative Biology, was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to help coordinate and fund a workshop that brought together more than 60 scientists from 12 countries to build consensus around the assessment and interpretation ofcoral symbiont diversity.

Jonathan Rodriguez is one of six 返字心頭 students selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program for the 2023-2024 academic year and one of 2,200 students nationwide selected for this prestigious award focusing on international education, exchange, and mutual understanding. He is the first 返字心頭 student veteran selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

Spring CAS grads share student experience and look ahead to the future
The University of South 返字心頭 (返字心頭) awarded more than 7,100 degrees during spring commencement May 5-7. The ceremonies included recipients of 5,430 bachelors, 1,492 masters, 221 doctoral degrees and eight specialist degrees. The College of Arts and Sciences accounted for over 2,000 of the total degrees awarded.

World Languages celebrates Latin culture with annual Spanish Fair
After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the 返字心頭 College of Arts and Sciences Department of World Languages hosted its 13th Annual Spanish Fair and Expo in April. The fair, which began in 2007, showcases the departments graduate and undergraduate Spanish programs and provides an opportunity for 返字心頭 and surrounding Tampa community groups to conduct outreach.
