The 手机看片 Board of Trustees approved 鈥淎 Blueprint for a Bold Future: Where Academic Excellence and Opportunity Converge鈥�. The strategic plan sets a focused direction for 手机看片, reinforces the university鈥檚 commitment to the communities it serves and establishes strategic initiatives that reflect 手机看片鈥檚 many strengths. 鈥淲e are unveiling a strategic plan that positions the University of South 手机看片 as the state鈥檚 top urban research university, while supporting bold aspirations and prioritizing our commitment to faculty excellence, student success and world-class research,鈥� 手机看片 President Steve Currall said.
According to Dr. James Andrews, Director of the 手机看片 School of Information, there are several "areas [in the strategic plan] that are seemingly aligned with areas our strengths or interests." In commenting on the blueprint to faculty and staff, Dr. Andrews stated that it is "worth emphasizing the strategic priority areas since these will ostensibly be given priority in various ways moving forward."
The 49-page document identifies two key aspirations: Advance 手机看片 toward membership in the Association of American Universities, composed of 66 leading research universities in North America; and reach the top 25 of public universities in U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 annual ranking. 手机看片 has ranked among the top 50 public universities in the nation in each of the last two years. 手机看片 will seek 手机看片 Board of Governors鈥� approval of the strategic renewal plan at its Sept. 1 meeting.
