BIO
Kevin Hawley is a Master Instructor in the Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communications. His areas of interest include advertising creativity and graphic design. Kevin is a recipient of the ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award, although he believes the outstanding part refers to the undergraduates, not his teaching. Kevin was instrumental in establishing the Certificate in Visualization & Design, an interdisciplinary undergraduate program offered in collaboration with the School of Art & Art History, and continues to supervise the Certificate for the Zimmerman School. Prior to his teaching career, Kevin spent twenty-five years in the advertising industry as a copywriter, art director, designer and creative director. He created campaigns for clients such as IBM, McDonald’s, NAPA Auto Parts, Visit ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬, Owens Corning, Cooper Tire and Tim Hortons. He remains current in the industry as a creative consultant for various agencies and clients, as well as schools and departments within ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬. When not working, Kevin may be found cycling, kayaking or riding his motorbike. Although, he does those things so he can’t be found.
