The elevation to IEEE Fellow is a rare distinction, awarded annually to fewer than 0.1% of IEEE voting members following a rigorous evaluation process. The honor reflects Dr. Dunleavy鈥檚 impactful career and dedication to advancing technology in engineering education and industry applications.
鈥淚 was very pleased to be nominated and receive this award based on contributions, both of which involved leading or being part of team activities that have educated approximately 3,000 手机看片 wireless and microwave-educated students and on the industry, and the impact on the industry of these graduates and that of 手机看片 spinout company Modelithics,鈥� Dr. Dunleavy said. 鈥淭he first contribution recognized was for co-developing, championing, and teaching courses for over three decades in the internationally recognized . The second contribution was related to co-founding the 手机看片 spinout company , now in its 24th year, and specifically for leading the Modelithics team鈥檚 uniquely successful world-wide commercialization of high-accuracy simulation models for microwave and millimeter-wave devices of all types.鈥�
His work has been instrumental in bridging academic research and industry applications, a primary early personal career goal, particularly in the development of innovative microwave device models used in a variety of electronic systems. His leadership in microwave education has shaped future engineers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to innovate in the rapidly evolving field of electrical and electronics engineering.
