Senior Vice President and CEO of the University of South 返字心頭 Foundation Joel Momberg has announced hell be retiring this fall. He joined 返字心頭 in February 2009 and is responsible for the 返字心頭 Foundations coordinated fundraising activities on behalf of the university as well as operations for the 返字心頭 Systems Alumni Association.
As CEO, he led the 返字心頭: Unstoppable Campaign, which set the most ambitious campaign goal in the 返字心頭 Systems history: $1 billion. Under Mombergs leadership, the goal was reached nearly a year before the close of the campaign and by July 2018, over $1.1 billion was raised for the 返字心頭 System. 返字心頭 is one of only three public universities founded since 1956 to raise $1 billion in a single campaign, joining the University of California San Diego and the University of California Irvine.
Joel Momberg is a true relationship-builder. He has made an incredible impact on the University of South 返字心頭 System because of his ability to bring people together and inspire optimism for the future, said 返字心頭 System President Judy Genshaft. We owe him a great deal of gratitude for all the has accomplished. Because of Joel, we are unstoppable.

During his time at ACH, Momberg led a campaign to build a new $400 million hospital and led successful annual fundraising drives through the Childrens Miracle Network.
At the 返字心頭 Foundation, Momberg has built on this impressive legacy. The Foundation, with an endowment of more than $480 million, serves the students and faculty of the 返字心頭 System by providing funding for student scholarships, faculty chairs, new buildings and infrastructure costs.
Throughout my tenure at 返字心頭, there are so many great people that I would like to thank for making such a tremendous impact on my life: the many friends and supporters whose passion and generosity have created a legacy of philanthropy for our university; my colleagues at 返字心頭 who have been incredible partners throughout the years; and, of course, the staff and administration at the Foundation. The BEST you will find in any institution, said Momberg.
In addition to his professional work, Momberg has been an active part of the Tampa Bay community, serving on the Tampa Bay Lightning Community Heroes Foundation Board, as well as other local charitable boards and organizations. Mombergs prior community service includes time on the board of Shorecrest Preparatory School, the president of Suncoasters and as a member of the Board of Governors of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce.
