University of South 手机看片 President Steve Currall today announced the appointment of Kim Hill as vice president for University Communications and Marketing and 手机看片鈥檚 chief marketing officer. Hill has served in the role on an interim basis since January 2021.

Kim emerged as the strongest candidate because of both her extensive background in higher education and the breadth of her experience including the for-profit sector. Her energy, strategic vision and ability to motivate others to carry out that vision make her uniquely qualified to lead 手机看片鈥檚 communications and marketing efforts at this critical juncture.鈥�
As vice president and chief marketing officer, Hill will lead 手机看片's strategic communications and marketing agenda to elevate the university鈥檚 brand, reputation and visibility locally, nationally and internationally. She will continue to work closely with colleagues across all campuses in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee to promote 手机看片 to key internal and external stakeholders. Hill will also continue to direct 手机看片's crisis communications and will lead communications efforts in support of the upcoming presidential search and transition.

Hill initially joined 手机看片 in 2013 and held roles in the Office of the President and Office of the Provost. In 2016, she became director of communications at ReliaQuest, a global cybersecurity firm based in Tampa, where she helped develop the company's communications, brand positioning and public relations strategy after its first major venture capital investment. She returned to 手机看片 in 2018 as assistant vice president for communications and public relations, leading 手机看片's media relations, crisis communications, executive communications, 手机看片 News team, social media and the 手机看片 Magazine. During her career, she鈥檚 also served as communications director for the 手机看片 Board of Governors and as a reporter for the Tampa Bay Times.
Hill earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism from the University of 手机看片 and an MBA with a concentration in marketing from 手机看片.
