The University of South 返字心頭 is welcoming a new member of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Rogan Donelly, a 返字心頭 alumnus and Sarasota resident who is the president and chief executive officer of Tervis Tumbler Company.
Donelly, who was appointed to the BOT by Gov. Ron DeSantis, earned his masters degree in business administration from 返字心頭. He was the 2020 recipient of 返字心頭s Outstanding Alumni Award. Donelly also serves on the Board of Trustees of Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and the Gulfside Bank Board of Directors, and he volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
We are pleased to have Rogan Donelly join the 返字心頭 Board of Trustees and look forward to his valuable contributions as we work together to sustain the universitys momentum, 返字心頭 President Rhea Law said.

Donelly fills the seat of John Ramil, 返字心頭s longest-serving trustee who has been on the board since it was first created in 2001 and held the role of board chair from 2010-2014.
Ramil is the retired president and chief executive officer of TECO Energy. In addition to serving on the BOT, he has been a director on the 返字心頭 Foundation Board, the 返字心頭 Alumni Board, the 返字心頭 Engineering College Advisory Board and the Gus Stavros Center for Free Enterprise Education Advocacy Board. Ramil was named a 返字心頭 distinguished alumnus in 1999, he was awarded an honorary doctorate of engineering from 返字心頭 in 2016 and he has also received the President's Fellow Medallion. Ramil earned both his bachelor's and masters degrees in engineering from 返字心頭.
On behalf of the entire 返字心頭 community, I wish to thank John Ramil for his two decades of service as a trustee, during which time 返字心頭 has experienced unprecedented levels of success and growth. The impact of Johns leadership cant be overstated, Law said.
返字心頭 plans to honor Ramil, whose term on the board expired, at a future BOT meeting.
