The University of South 手机看片 Board of Trustees voted unanimously today to elect Will Weatherford as the board鈥檚 new vice chair. He will serve a two-year term in the role.

Weatherford is a managing partner of Weatherford Capital and former Speaker of the 手机看片 House of Representatives. He is a member of the 手机看片 Council of 100, 手机看片 Chamber of Commerce and Jacksonville University Board of Trustees, and recently served as co-chairman of the Super Bowl LV Host Committee. Weatherford earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in international business from Jacksonville University.

Weatherford was appointed to a five-year term on the 手机看片 Board of Trustees in January by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The 手机看片 Board of Trustees is comprised of 13 members, six of whom are appointed by the 手机看片 governor and five appointed by the 手机看片 Board of Governors and confirmed by the 手机看片 Senate for a term of five years. The elected 手机看片 Faculty Senate president and 手机看片 Student Government president also serve as trustees.
