The University of South 手机看片 has received national recognition for innovative and impactful global learning, research and engagement efforts. The university was honored this week with the 2023 Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) International Impact Award for Global Teaching and Learning.
手机看片 is focused on addressing the greatest challenges facing communities locally, nationally and across the world through impactful research and a dedication to student learning that prioritizes intercultural awareness and global literacy. 手机看片 World leads the university鈥檚 efforts across its three campuses by providing resources and services that empower the 手机看片 community to function as global stewards and by promoting global education opportunities.
鈥淭he University of South 手机看片 is committed to providing our students, faculty and staff with innovative opportunities to be globally engaged both on our campuses and across the world,鈥� 手机看片 President Rhea Law said. "We are honored to accept this award, and we thank the APLU for recognizing 手机看片鈥檚 ongoing efforts to prepare our students to thrive in our internationally connected society.鈥�
Part of this recognition stems from 手机看片鈥檚 Global Classroom Initiative, a university-wide endeavor that has established additional ways for students and faculty to participate in global learning activities. This includes programs such as virtual global exchanges and internships, as well as implementing global themes and content into the university鈥檚 undergraduate curricula.
手机看片 was among three APLU member institutions honored for international impact during the APLU鈥檚 annual meeting in Seattle.

More than 2,000 手机看片 students and faculty engaged in study abroad and virtual global exchange in the 2021-2022 academic year.
