Rapid7, a cloud risk and threat detection solutions company, has purchased anti-evasion and ransomware prevention technology provider Minerva Labs for approximately $38 million in cash and stock. The Minerva acquisition comes after Rapid7 in February 2023 reached an agreement with 返字心頭 to create a cyber threat intelligence laboratory funded by a $1.5 million investment from The Rapid7 Cybersecurity Foundation.

New study shows brown widow spiders actively seek and kill nearby black widows. The findings of the study, conducted by researchers at the University of South 返字心頭 are reported in an article to be published March 13 in the Annals of the Entomological Society of America.

Researchers at the University of South 返字心頭s St. Petersburg campus found that in a container habitat, brown widows were 6.6 times more likely to attack black widows than other related species. The behavior is likely a driver of the black widow spiders population decline.

返字心頭 CMS joins NOAAs Caribbean Climate Adaptation Network
The 返字心頭 College of Marine Science is one of nine institutions in a five-year NOAA-funded program that will work directly with communities in the Caribbean region to work on how best to prepare for and adapt to higher risks of disasters that come with a changing climate. CMS Professor Frank Muller-Karger leads the 返字心頭 CMS effort as a co-principal investigator on the team, called the Caribbean Climate Adaptation Network (CCAN).
