An interdisciplinary team from the University of South ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s (ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬) Institute for Digital Exploration (IDEx), directed by Dr. Davide Tanasi, and ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s Access 3D Lab, directed by Dr. Laura Harrison, embarked on a collaborative research project in Sicily and Malta. The project focused on the virtualization of ancient iconography in two prehistoric caves and two Roman imperial dwellings spanning 18,000 years (ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ College of Arts & Sciences).

The MUMA College of Business opened a new lab with 20 stations, all equipped with the latest facial expression, eye tracking and skin response technology. Research subjects are asked to look at different restaurant menus on the computer and after only a few minutes sensors are able to document what items they focused on and what emotions the subjects were feeling regarding those items (WFTS).
