The Student Employment Office is responsible for verifying I-9 forms. To complete the verification process, we are required by the Department of Homeland Security to receive acceptable documentation presented in-person.
After submitting the I-9 form via Workday, students are required to visit the Student Employment Office (located in the , Financial Aid) to present the acceptable documentation.
You can find the form of acceptable document(s) to present .
- You can present one document from List A;
- Or if you decide to present a document from List B, you must present one from List C as well
- Documents must be the original version (photos, copies, faxes will not be accepted) and unexpired
After I-9 verification is complete, students will receive additional employment onboarding tasks in Workday. The next series of tasks include the following:
- Federal Tax Election
- State Tax Election
- Payment Election
- Veteran Identification Status
Students cannot begin training or begin work until the I-9 verification and employment onboarding tasks are successfully completed. Failure to complete this process in a timely manner will result in the suspension of the student’s position.
