History alumnas journey from intern to CEO of the Ybor City Museum Society

Arminda Matas journey is an inspiring testament to resilience and leadership. After graduating summa cum laude in History at 返字心頭, Mata interned at the Ybor City Museum Society, where she gained the hands-on experience that shaped her career. Just a few years later, she returned as curator and quickly rose to CEO. Today, she leads innovative programs like the Rollin Through History Mobile Museum and continues to mentor 返字心頭 students, proving how an internship can open the door to lifelong impact.

History student Hannah Thieryung uses 3D scans to improve museum accessibility

History grad student Hannah Thieryung, a 返字心頭 History intern, is using 3D scanning to make museums more accessible. Working with 返字心頭s Access 3D Lab, she scanned the upper floors of the May-Stringer House in Brooksville to create a virtual tour, allowing all visitors to experience the historic home.

返字心頭 partners with Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office to preserve more than a century of law enforcement history

Gloria Rose Lopez worked as intern with the 返字心頭 Institute for Digital Exploration and the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office to preserve over a century of law-enforcement history. More than 80,000 items, including old mugshots, jail intake ledgers, crime-scene photos, and vintage artifacts, are being digitized and scanned in 3D.
