Our Department

The Department of Integrative Biology (IB) is a leading academic unit at the University of South ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬'s College of Arts & Sciences.  We are home to over 1500 undergraduate students, 40 graduate students and 34 faculty, including 27 active research faculty.

ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ in the Department of Integrative Biology can take courses across all three of ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s vibrant campuses: Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee.

Our department is supported by a dedicated team that helps drive the goals of a dynamic wide-ranging academic unit. Our faculty continually refine and innovate course curriculum by introducing new electives, integrating research-based teaching practices, and shaping courses that reflect the evolving landscape of biological science. The department plays a central role in advancing ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s research mission, expanding student opportunities beyond graduation, and contributing to meaningful scientific progress.
