Undergraduate Programs

We offer a wide range of undergraduate programs designed to prepare future educators and education-focused professionals for meaningful careers. ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ can choose from teacher-preparation majors such as Early Childhood, Elementary, English, Social Science, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education and Exceptional Student Education—each combining strong academic coursework with hands-on field experiences in local schools. Across all programs, students can enhance their skills through added endorsements, including ESOL and Reading, and graduate ready to make an impact and benefit from ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s strong partnerships with school districts throughout the Tampa Bay region.

Special Interest Programs

Call Me MiSTER

 The mission of the ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s Call Me MiSTER (Mentors Instructing ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ Toward Effective Role Models) initiative is to increase the pool of available licensed teachers from a broader background. The program is currently based on the ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ St. Petersburg campus and conducted in partnership with Pinellas County Schools. 


Go Teach Bulls

The Go Teach Project, hosted by the College Football Playoff Foundation, aims to give athletic and academic departments a platform and the tools needed to assist with the recruitment of qualified student-athletes into the teaching profession. The ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ College of Education and ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ Athletics have joined the project to encourage more ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ student athletes to consider a rewarding career in teaching.


UMatter

UMatter is an innovative inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) program created to provide young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to experience higher education and campus life. The program was established through a $900,000 grant awarded by the ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ Center for ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ with Unique Abilities and is hosted at ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬'s St. Petersburg campus.


High School Equivalency Program

The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) at ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ is designed to help students who are or have parents who are seasonal
farmworkers obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma and subsequently to gain employment or be placed in an in institution of higher education or other post secondary education or training.


College Assistance Migrant Program

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is designed to assist eligible participants from migrant and seasonal farmworker backgrounds in completing their first year of college and transitioning to complete their bachelor’s degree.
