Allison Crume serves as Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Interim Dean of ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬, and Associate Vice President for Student Success at the University of South ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬. In these roles, she leads the coordination and delivery of a high-quality, student-centered undergraduate experience across all campuses.
Dr. Crume oversees a comprehensive portfolio of student success initiatives, including academic support, engagement, and developmental programs, while serving as a central advocate for student needs and success. She also provides leadership in promoting student accountability and upholding institutional standards, ensuring a supportive environment in which all students can thrive.
Prior to joining the University of South ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬, Dr. Crume served in multiple administrative roles including Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ State University. She also worked for the Board of Governors, State University System of ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ in academic and student affairs. Dr. Crume started her career in education as a high school history teacher in Roberta, Georgia.
Dr. Crume completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ State University. Her additional degrees are a M.A.T. in Broad Field Social Science and a B.S. in History from Georgia College & State University. She serves as affiliate faculty in the University of South ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ College of Education’s Higher Education and Student Affairs department. Her research interests include student success, women in higher education, accessibility, and campus governance.
