Global Networks
Canada
Launched in Fall 2024, this newest network has the potential to engage more than 2,300
individuals connected to Canada both personally and professionally, including over
470 ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ alumni. Among ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s co-publishing academic partners, the University of Toronto
and the University of British Columbia rank as the top two, with McGill University
and McMaster University placing sixth and seventh in the top ten. Between 2018 and
2023 alone, ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ faculty co-produced an impressive 1,241 publications with Canadian
counterparts.
ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬â€™s ties to Canada extend well beyond research. More than 620 students have chosen Canada as their study abroad destination, while over 100 Canadian students are currently enrolled at ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬. Beyond campus, the Tampa Bay community maintains deep connections to Canada through trade, business, real estate, the Canada–ÊÖ»ú¿´Æ¬ Chamber of Commerce, and Sarasota’s Canadian sister city, Hamilton making this network a natural hub for meaningful global engagement.
