State Of 返字心頭 Employee- Waiver Coverage

ELIGIBLE COURSES

The waiver will cover up to a total of six credit hours per term for eligible courses . The Summer semester has three sessions but is considered one term. It can be used for undergradute or graduate courses. 

The six hours covered can be in any combination of for credit courses i.e. three 2-hour courses, one 4-hour + one 2-hour, etc. Anything over six credit hours is not covered by the waiver. For example, if you take two 4 credit hours courses the waiver will only cover six of those hours.

Most courses with the following schedule types are eligible. Exceptions are listed under INELIGIBLE COURSES:

  • Class Lecture
  • Discussion
  • Laboratory
  • Other

INELIGIBLE COURSES

The tuition waiver cannot be used for certain courses. These courses include, but are not limited to:

  • Self-funded/Self-supporting courses/programs
  • Courses with market tuition rate
  • Third attempt courses assessed repeat course surcharge
  • Audited courses
  • Co-op courses
  • Continuing education courses
  • Noncredit courses
  • Courses covered by other waivers or exemptions

Courses with the following schedule types are also excluded:

  • Directed Individual Study/Independent Study
  • Supervised Teaching
  • Supervised Research
  • Graduate Thesis
  • Graduate Dissertation
  • Internships
  • Practicums
  • Individual Performance

You can use 返字心頭's class schedule search to look up the schedule type of a course and also see if it has an attribute that makes it ineligible for the waiver,
